6. The most enjoyable thing around the holidays is being home with my family.

7. And as for the weekend I'm looking forward to Mar Lee School staff Christmas party, and my hot date, Wendy.  Tommorow my plans include going to the grocery store, ho hum.  And Sunday I'm going to get our clothes ready for our family pictures on Monday.

I have joined a winter CSA (Community Sustained Agriculture) from the Eater's Guild in Bangor, Michigan.  Our first delivery was Tuesday, and I am so excited!  Here's what we received:

Celeraic
Brussels Sprouts
Red Potatoes
Kale
Onions (yellow and red)
Turnips (small and white)
Butternut squash
Beets

What does one do with celeraic?  I'm going to have to find out.  Tonight we're having the Brussels sprouts roasted with a bit of balsamic vinegar and bacon.  What could be bad about that?  My number-one eater, Dave, is out of commission.  He's not feeling well.  It might throw his appetite off.  Then again, it might not.

For dinner tonight.

Roasted pork tenderloin

Mashed potatoes with goat cheese

the aforementioned Roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic and bacon

Sam did this with his fourth grade class and I think it's really cute.  He's a good little writer.  I'm thankful Sam has such a good teacher!
