Ray LaMontagne and the Pariah Dogs

I have been a big RayLamontagne fan for about five years now, so I was pretty embarrassed to find out that he had released an album without even notifying me. I felt like a fool when iTunes notified me about this new gem. Ray, frankly I thought we were closer than that.
When I heard that Ray LaMontagne had cut an album with a band I was a bit skeptical. You know how when you really like an artist you get a little nervous when they release something new? What if I don't like it? What if my judgement has been wrong all along and I really don't know Ray?
I know him, I love him, and this album is his best since Trouble. Ray's voice is softer, clearer on many of the tracks, reminding me of Don MacLean and James Taylor from way back when. His lyrics make me worry about his marriage (Are you still in love with me, like the way you used to be, or is it changing?), but he still shows us how to have a good time with Devil's in the Jukebox and Repo Man. This is bar music.
If you hear about a concert you'll let me know so I don't have to hear about it after the fact, right?
