Red Simmered Chicken
Mix in a 1 quart jar:
1 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 tablespoon sesame oil
A variety of whole spices including peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, clove, mustard seed, allspice and cardamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
Shake to combine. Place a whole chicken in a largish crockpot. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Turn crockpot to low and allow o cook for 4-6 hours, basting the chicken with the sauce occasi
